Always Assuming The Worst
I haven’t exactly figured out why it is, but there’s a very specific, but very judgmental, and unfortunately; very vocal segment of our visitors to Kava.com, Kona Kava Farm, and our friends at Kava.Guru who always seem to feel a need to challenge, to assume the worst, to look for conspiracies where there are none, to “expose” the scam that we are for some reason we’ll never understand. All I can figure is it’s a self-righteous, arrogant need to fill a void in their own lives, so they need to find fault in someone else’s. And, from my experience, I can only guess that Kava forums draw a very specific type of person, because 100% of the time we’ve been challenged, harassed, accused,
I know that writing an article about them only empowers them somehow; it only encourages them to continue what they’re doing because it’s obviously having an effect; it’s getting them that attention they desire so badly, that they will thoughtlessly throw people they don’t even know, people they don’t even TRY to get to know under the bus in the name of some self-righteous desire for hyper-transparency.
We’ve worked hard for over a decade to do our best to bring our treasured customers the best Kava we can, despite any internal issues going on at the farm, in our facilities, with the Federal Government, with importers and exporters, with Homeland Security, the FDA, countless scammers pretending to be growers, exporters or importers, and so on.
Of anyone in this business, we are certainly not the enemy. Yet this one particular segment of customer feels it’s their right to know every detail of our business, and don’t just ask nicely; they demand that they have a right to know about our
Ultimately, I don’t blame this specific segment of people. We live in a world where personal privacy has no meaning anymore, where anything but hyper-transparency is not acceptable. We are all giving up our personal privacy, our civil liberties, one by one, and we’re screaming for everyone else to
I feel oppressed every day by the very people who are supposed to be smart enough to see past the bullshit, to see past the fact that their own fears are being projected onto the people and the world around them. You’re honestly, truly becoming a soldier for the wrong side by looking for conspiracies from the very companies who are on the ground fighting the same battles you are. Why are you so determined to “bring us down” (quote from a Kava form member), to “expose your scam”, to feel so entitled that they can literally walk into my front door of my office, throw my books off my desk, and demand to know who’s behind each of the companies who
When on Earth did it become a crime to support companies who we believe in and write articles about their Kava? I have no association with Bula Kava, but I have found their Kava to be exceptional.
